Specialized Care for Our Nation's Energy Workers
Energy Workers Home Health is dedicated to providing specialized, compassionate care to the men and women who served our nation through their work at Department of Energy facilities and nuclear weapons sites. We understand the unique healthcare needs of former energy workers and are committed to helping eligible individuals receive the skilled nursing services and support they deserve in the comfort of their own homes.
Understanding Your EEOICPA Benefits
The Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) is a federal program designed to provide compensation and medical benefits to eligible workers who developed illnesses related to their employment at Department of Energy facilities and certain nuclear weapons sites.
Workers with approved work-related illnesses may qualify for medical benefits, including skilled nursing and home healthcare services, when medically necessary and authorized under the program.
At Energy Workers Home Health, we specialize in helping eligible workers receive the care they need while remaining in the comfort of their own homes.
Who May Qualify for Benefits?
Former employees of Department of Energy facilities and certain nuclear weapons sites may qualify for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA).
Many of these workers were exposed to hazardous substances during their employment, including radiation, uranium, beryllium, asbestos, silica, and other toxic materials.
Workers who develop qualifying occupational illnesses may be eligible for compensation and medical benefits through the U.S. Department of Labor.
In our region, covered facilities include Y-12 National Security Complex, the former K-25 Gaseous Diffusion Plant, X-10 (Oak Ridge National Laboratory), and other qualifying locations associated with the Oak Ridge Reservation.
Eligibility depends on factors such as employment history, medical diagnosis, and the specific requirements of the federal program.
